Anne Curtis’ Statement on Wardrobe Malfunction in Boracay

MANILA - Viva Communications on Tuesday condemned the posting of a controversial photo of their talent, Anne Curtis-Smith, which has been circulated in social networks and published in a local tabloid.

Curtis, who was wearing a bikini, was dancing on stage when the right part of her top folded and accidentally showed her right breast.

The photo, which went viral on social networks such as Facebook, also landed in different gossip sites, blogs and tabloids.

The wardrobe malfunction happened while she was taping for the summer special episode of musical variety show “ASAP XV.”

Rumors have it that her former boyfriend and on-screen partner Sam Milby rushed to comfort the actress, who was shaking and crying after the dance number.

Curtis and Milby topbill “Babe, I Love You” under Star Cinema and Viva Films.

Below is the statement of Cecilia Santelices, ViVa Communications Inc documentation officer: "We are appalled by the behavior of some people who have irresponsibly posted over the internet a photo of our artist, Ms. Anne Curtis-Smith, taken during the taping of one of her production numbers for ASAP XV.

What happened during the taping was an unfortunate accident. Nothing was done intentionally. Anne was merely doing her best to deliver a solid performance as an artist."

"It is disheartening to discover though that certain people have taken advantage of the situation, maliciously uploading the photos over the internet. Worse, participating in the proliferation of the same over the net."

"Obviously, some unscrupulous individuals have capitalized on this misfortune and consequently exploited our artist whose only fault was to do her job well. We appeal to these individuals, please have a little respect and decency to stop posting the photos and distributing the same. Think of your sister, your mother, your wife, and your daughter. . . . . have a heart. "

Actress Anne Curtis is set to break her silence this afternoon on the controversial photo, which was taken during a taped show on Boracay Island. Curtis will hold a press conference that will be aired live exclusively on ANC and www.abs-cbnNEWS.com at noon Wednesday.
